Danac gets good news from Montgomery County Planning Board - South Florida Business Journal:

The Bethesda-based developer's 26-acre officer park in the Shadhy Grove Life Sciences Center is currently approvedfor 669,53i square feet of density and the campus currentlyu contains half of that, or 350,000 square feet. At a May 28 work the Montgomery County Planning Board decided to recommendf in its draft Gaithersburg West Master Plan that the propert be developed with up to twic e asmuch density, or contain up to 1.34 million squarr feet of office, retail and residential The southwest corner of the land currently includes a 272,000-square-foot, three-building complex that houses software and pharmaceuticapl tenants.
The north side of the property contains the Metropolitajn RegionalInformational Services' 72,000-square-foot headquarters. Last week, the boarfd also recommended that Danac's Corridor Citiew Transitway stop be locatede at or near itsnortheastern corner, near the intersectio n of Diamondback Drive and Decoverly Drive. That is good news for since the board had left out the stop inearlierf drafts. The transit stop near the corne r may be developed whether the statr retains the current road alignment or adoptsthe county' locally preferred alternative.
The boardr also picked that location because the northeasternj corner is considered to be convenient for pedestrians from the Decoverlhyresidential communities.
