The $362.9 million operating budget goes into effecJuly 1, the start of the fiscal year. The amount of the fare increase, which will go into effec t Jan. 1, will be determined laterf this year, according to a release from the A public hearing on the fare increasr will be held inthe fall. The board also approved a $155.2 million capitalk budget.

Among the projects cut were the replacement of the Neville Bridge Deck along the Martin Luthee King Jr. East Busway and replacement of the busradio system.
